Thomas Herrin Easley was born February 25, 1869, and departed from this life July 6, 1922, being at the time of his demise 53 years, 4 months, and 11 days of age. He lived in Macon county during his life time, and for almost two years had made his home in LaPlata.
Mr. Easley was united in marriage to Josie Allen, June 23, 1888. To this union three children were born, John H. Easley, Marceline, Mo, David F., of Lexington Junction, Mo, and Grace May Easley Slaughter of LaPlata, Mo. Other near relatives are J. W. and F. W. Easley of Chelan, Wash., brothers, James of LaCrosse, Mo., a twin brother and Isaac Vertress, of Gifford, a half-brother, also one sister, Mrs. Minnie Shultheiss, of Yarrow, Mo. There are a number of other relatives and friends who sympathize with the widow and children in their sorrow.
Mr. Easley was converted to the Christian faith about 23 years ago and united with the Chariton Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Carmel Church by Rev. L. E. Stonecipher, July 8th. Interment was made in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
