Uldene H. Jackson, 83, of LaPlata, died at 9:47 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 1992, at Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Hanes Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.

Mrs. Jackson was born on Nov. 6, 1909, at Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Cora Roby Russell. She was married on June 6, 1935, in Unionville, to John L. Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, John of the home; one daughter, Margaret Potter of East Moline, Ill.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Doyle Russell; three sisters, Velma Van Doren, Della West, and Berna Wilcox.

Mrs. Jackson moved to Chicago, Ill., after her marriage and then moved to Bevier in 1957. In 1971 they moved to LaPlata to make their home. She was a homemaker and a membr of the LaPlata Baptist Church.

Jay Moran, born December 6, 1880, died March 6, 1957 at his home in Dunnville after being ill for several years. The funeral service was held in the Church of God with Bro. Smith and Rev. Woodrow Damron officiating. Interment was in the Green River Valley Cemetery on March 9, with the Gosser Funeral Home in Charge[sic] of arrangements.

Mr. Moran leaves his wife, Lucy, thee sons, Estil and Marion of Indiana and Paul of Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Alta Miller of Dunnville, Mrs. Nancy Hart of Ohio, Mrs. Louella Davis of Campbellsville, and Mrs. Esther Conn of Ohio; the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Bertha Weston, Daily and Leslie Moran; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
