Margie Lee Wylie, 71, of Fort Sumner, N.M., and formerly of Adair County, Mo., died Thursday (Feb. 8, 1996) at Pecos Valley Care Center.
Mrs. Wylie was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Adair County, Mo., to Perry Earl and Aurilla Margaret Douglas Barnett. She married Virgil Eugene Wylie on June 9, 1954. Mrs. Wylie graduated from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College and taught fourth grade at Fort Sumner Public Schools from 1948 to 1970.
She is survived by one son, Stephen Wylie of Clovis, N.M.; three grandchildren, Timothy, Andrea and Sarah Wylie, all of Clovis; and one brother, Harold Barnett of Kirksville.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fort Sumner Cemetery, under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, with burial in the Garden of Love at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
