Ida M. Snider, 68, of Tulsa, former Wichita and Collyer resident, homemaker, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 1991. Service has been held.

Survivors: husband, Robert; sons, Michael of Tulsa, Thomas of Dallas; daughters, Cheryl Taylor of Fullerton, Calif., Brenda of Huntington Beach, Calif.; brothers, Pius Ziegler, Julius Ziegler, Leo Ziegler, all of Collyer, Bob Ziegler of Hays; sisters, Anna Pfannenstiel of Collyer, Elfrieda Heimerman of Colwich, Fidelia Snider of Wichita; two grandchildren. Memorial has been established with Children's Medical Center, Tulsa. Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home, Tulsa.

ULYSSES - Otis Glenn Bowen, 84, died May 30, 1989, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, Ulysses. Born May 3, 1905, at Cushing, Okla., he married Vera Elizabeth Thompson July 23, 1946, at Parsons. A retired truck driver for Cities Service Gas Co., he was a resident of Ulysses since 1951.

He was a member of Bit and Spur Club, Ulysses, and the International Truckers Union.

Survivors: wife, of the home; stepsons, Jerry Frey and Charles Orr, both of Cincinnati; daughters, Mavis McDowell, Pampa, Texas, Twila Arrelano, Guymon, Okla.; stepdaughter, Sandra Maris, Ulysses; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. today at the Phillips Chapel, Ulysses, the Rev. Paul Stetz. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time today at the mortuary. Memorials may go to Western Prairie Care Home, Ulysses.

Dr. and Mrs. Philip Adams Parents Of Son

Word has been received here announcing the birth of a son to Dr. and Mrs. Philip S. Adams, of Tracy City, Tenn. The baby was born Oct. 8 and has been named Darrell Arthur.

Mrs. Adams is the former Miss Orpha Jones, daughter of Mrs. Gertrude Jones, of 411 S. High, who is now visiting the Adamses. Dr. Adams is a graduate of the KCOS. They have two other sons, Philip and Larry.

Posey To Take Vows

Carroll Posey, C.S.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. Vitus Posey, Clementsville, will make his first Religious Profession of vows at St. Joseph Novitiate, Rolling Prairie, Indiana, on August 16.

He graduated from St. Bernard High School in 1955, graduated from Bresica College at Owensboro in 1959 and taught at the St. Stephen's Cathedral grade school in Owensboro.

Bud Whited Funeral Held at Carr Chapel

Funeral services for Daniel Boone "Bud" Whited, 88, were held on Tuesday of this week at Carr Chapel. The Revs. W. D. Woosley and Elvin Cox officiated.

Death came to Mr. Whited on Saturday of last week.

He was born in Tennessee on June 9, 1874, the son of Alex and Nancy Alred Whited.

He was married to Ida B. Cochran in 1955.

Survivors include these children: Mrs. Myrtle Randolph, Hustonville; Mrs. Rose Langford, Midway; Paris and Ellen Whited, Liberty; Mrs. Nancy Miller, Danville; and Mrs. Esther Lay, Hustonville.

There are 19 surviving grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Burial was at Whited Cemetery. Bartle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
