Clements A. Ridings, 80, of Winter Springs, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1992, at Meridian Nursing Center in Winter Springs, Fla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Macon with Rev. Mr. Bernie Toll officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Macon. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27, with a Christian Wake Service to be held at 7 p.m. at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.

Mr. Ridings was born on March 26, 1912, in Macon, the son of Chester and Helen Croarking Ridings. He was married to Dorothy Jane Gwinner.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; one son, Richard Ridings of Richardson, Texas; one daughter, Nancy Walsh of Cairo; one brother, James Ridings of Colorado; and two sisters, Josephine Juppier of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Mary Sue Gibilterra of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Ridings moved from St. Louis to Florida in 1978. He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Winter Park Elks' Club, and the Lions' Club.

George W. Reinhart

George W. Reinhart, 84, of Macon, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1992, at his residence in Macon.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Rev. William A. Knowles officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Reinhart was born on March 6, 1908, in Anabel, the son of G. F. and Kate Hutton Reinhart. He was married on Nov. 3, 1929, in Macon, to Ethel Sandner.

Survivors include one son, Gary Winkler of Macon; one daughter, Barbara Binder of Macon; three grandsons; one niece, Frances Reinhart; and two sisters-in-law, Ruby Shiflett and Katheryn Reinhart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Alfred and Sandford Reinhart; and one grandson, Roger Winkler.

Mr. Reinhart was a life-long Macon area resident. He had farmed in the Bethlehem area and then in 1970 moved into town. He was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

Roy Howard Griffis

Roy Howard Griffis, 71, of Bucklin, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1992, at his home in Bucklin.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Louis V. Scudiero Funeral Home in Bucklin with Rev. James Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Wyandotte Cemetery, northwest of Bucklin. Visitation is to be held from 1 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Griffis was born on Oct. 29, 1921, in Macon County near Bucklin, the son of Richard and Mary Jane Briggs Griffis. He was married on Aug. 16, 1958, in Miami, Okla., to Lula Mae Ferguson.

Survivors include one step-daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Margaret Ann) Shipers of Plattensburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on April 4, 1980; one brother, Noah Griffis; and one sister, Maimie Howe.

Mr. Griffis had lived in Kansas City and then moved to Bucklin in 1971. He was employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglass Company in Kansas City and Hollister Company in Kirksville.

Elizabeth Kristine Schwaner 19, of Kirksville, Missouri died unexpectedly Friday morning (May 23, 1997) due to an automobile accident in Adair County, Missouri.

The daughter of Fred C. and Sally Jean (Morrell) Schwaner, she was born May 28, 1977 in Kirksville, Missouri.

She is survived by her parents, Fred and Sally Schwaner; two brothers, Jon Eric Schwaner and wife Kerri of Columbia, Missouri and David W. Schwaner of Kirksville, Missouri; one grandmother, Louise Schwaner of Kirksville, Missouri; one nephew, William Eric Schwaner of Columbia, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Louise Kriner of Kirksville, Missouri, Pete Schwaner of Numa, Iowa, Betty Dahl of Galesburg, Illinois, Shirley Hoffmeier of Fort Worth, Texas, Ruth Sinnes of Security, Colorado, Larry Morrell of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mary Nevlin of Burlington, Iowa, Pat Harper of Calhan, Colorado, Marge Headley of Milan, Illinois, Lynn Morrell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lyle Morrell of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jim Morrell of Solvang, California; several cousins and other relatives.

Preceding her in death were three gandparents; one aunt, Martha Malloy and one cousin, Lawrance Kriner.

Elizabeth was raised in Kirksville, Missouri and attended the Kirksville public schools. She was employed at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center as a Certified Nurses Aid.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (May 27, 1997) at the Davis-Playle Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Virgil Jones officiating. Entombment will be in the Maple Hills Chapel Mausoleum in Kirksville, Missouri.

Della Mae Arment

Della Mae Arment, age 96, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 25, 1997 in the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.

She was born October 28, 1900 at Louisburg, Missouri the daughter of David Moore and Mary Melissa Parish.

On December 26, 1918 at Edina, Missouri she was united in marriage to Joe Arment and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1986.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, an infant brother, Harley Lee Parish, a brother, Shelva Loyd Parish, and one sister, Mina Scott.

Surviving are two sons, Donald Ray Arment of Newark, Missouri and Lewis Guy Arment and his wife, Pearl of Bainbridge, Georgia, three grandchildren, David, Julie and Jody Arment, six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Mollie, Jason, Jocelyn and Joshoa Arment, four step grandchildren and fifteenth[sic] step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Arment was raised in Louisburg, Missouri where she received her education. She was a housewife and homemaker. She and her husband were lifelong residents of Knox County. Mrs. Arment was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening and quilting.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m Thursday, May 29, 1997 in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, Missouri. The Reverend Neil Jones will officiate the services.

Buril will be in the Park View Gardens in Kirksville.

Music will be provided by Ed Anderson. Musical selections will be "Whispering Hope" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere".

Casket bearers will be Ray Snell, Joe Abell, David Arment, Jody Arment, David Lee Arment and Bill Arment.

In Loving Memory of Maren Partenheimer

Maren Partenheimer, 41 of Kirksville, Missouri and Hamburg, Germany, died in her home, on Wednesday, May 21, 1997.

She is survived by her husband David Partenheimer as well as her father Dr. Gerhard Beuck, her brother Dr. Reimer Beuck, and their families.

Maren and David wish to express their deepest gratitude for all the loving support they received from their many friends and the community at large.

Funeral service will be held Monday, May 26, 1997 at 3:00 P.M. at the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, Missouri. Burial will follow at Forest Llewellyn Cemetery.

Jay Moran Buried Friday At Green River Valley

Jay Moran, born December 6, 1880, died March 6, 1957 at his home in Dunnville after being ill for several years. The funeral service was held in the Church of God with Bro. Smith and Rev. Woodrow Damron officiating. Interment was in the Green River Valley Cemetery on March 9, with the Gosser Funeral Home in Charge[sic] of arrangements.

Mr. Moran leaves his wife, Lucy, thee sons, Estil and Marion of Indiana and Paul of Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Alta Miller of Dunnville, Mrs. Nancy Hart of Ohio, Mrs. Louella Davis of Campbellsville, and Mrs. Esther Conn of Ohio; the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Bertha Weston, Daily and Leslie Moran; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
