Elizabeth Kristine Schwaner 19, of Kirksville, Missouri died unexpectedly Friday morning (May 23, 1997) due to an automobile accident in Adair County, Missouri.

The daughter of Fred C. and Sally Jean (Morrell) Schwaner, she was born May 28, 1977 in Kirksville, Missouri.

She is survived by her parents, Fred and Sally Schwaner; two brothers, Jon Eric Schwaner and wife Kerri of Columbia, Missouri and David W. Schwaner of Kirksville, Missouri; one grandmother, Louise Schwaner of Kirksville, Missouri; one nephew, William Eric Schwaner of Columbia, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Louise Kriner of Kirksville, Missouri, Pete Schwaner of Numa, Iowa, Betty Dahl of Galesburg, Illinois, Shirley Hoffmeier of Fort Worth, Texas, Ruth Sinnes of Security, Colorado, Larry Morrell of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mary Nevlin of Burlington, Iowa, Pat Harper of Calhan, Colorado, Marge Headley of Milan, Illinois, Lynn Morrell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lyle Morrell of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jim Morrell of Solvang, California; several cousins and other relatives.

Preceding her in death were three gandparents; one aunt, Martha Malloy and one cousin, Lawrance Kriner.

Elizabeth was raised in Kirksville, Missouri and attended the Kirksville public schools. She was employed at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center as a Certified Nurses Aid.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (May 27, 1997) at the Davis-Playle Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Virgil Jones officiating. Entombment will be in the Maple Hills Chapel Mausoleum in Kirksville, Missouri.

Donald Shoemaker

Donald Richard Shoemaker, 69, of Marceline, Mo., and formerly of New Cambria, Mo., died Sunday (Feb. 10, 1996) at Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville.

Mr. Shoemaker was born Feb. 28, 1926, in West Liberty, Iowa, to Charles Richard and Jessie Elizabeth Call Shoemaker. He married Loretta Belle Thompson in 1945 in New Cambria. Mr. Shoemaker farmed and worked at Toastmaster in Macon, Mo.

He is survived by four sons, Larry Shoemaker of Green River, Wyo., and Jim, Rick and Steve Shoemaker, all of New Cambria; one daughter, Alcidean Clarahan of Kirksville; two brothers, Danny Shoemaker of Bevier, Mo., and Bill Shoemaker of Bucklin, Mo.; two sisters, Thelma Hulett of Bucklin, and Erma Malloy of New Cambria; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Shoemaker was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Clarence Earl Shoemaker, and two sisters, Rebecca Newton and Mary Ann Herrin.

Services were scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Louis V. Scudiero and Sons Funeral Home in Bucklin, with burial in New Cambria Cemetery in New Cambria.
